Fronius Ohmpilot is a controller that manages receivers and is designed to utilize surplus solar energy for water heating. With the capability of smoothly adjusting power from 0 to 9 kW, surplus energy from photovoltaic panels can be effectively utilized to power devices in households.
Ohmpilot is primarily used for intelligent management of heating elements, supplying hot water to boilers and buffer tanks. However, it can also be used for heating using infrared radiation or towel radiators in bathrooms. This allows solar energy to meet most of the household's hot water needs from April to October, leading to maximum self-sufficiency, reduced CO2 emissions at home, and avoiding the need to use the main water heating system during summer months.
