SolarEdge S1000-1G MXM BT power optimizers are DC-DC devices directly connected to photovoltaic modules to maximize energy output through independent maximum power point tracking (MPPT). They effectively regulate the string voltage independently of its length or environmental conditions. They have a safe voltage feature, automatically reducing the voltage to 1 V DC in case of a malfunction, disconnection from the inverter, or when the inverter is turned off.

The optimizers transmit information about module operation to the inverter using a DC power cable. There are two types available: an additional power optimizer connected to one or several modules, and intelligent modules with built-in optimizers. In the S series, the connection system has been improved, where the positive connector cable is long, and the negative one is short, eliminating loose hanging of the connector from the roof and reducing moisture impact.
